Ho Hum. Another Letter from the I.R.S.

I got another letter from the IRS today. Pretty much the same “LT16” notice as I got around this time last year and the year before. Nothing new and noteworthy about it.

• Here’s a press release about the war tax redirection proposal the Mennonite Church USA will be considering at its convention next month.
• Nina Olson, who has been an energetic within-the-system voice for U.S. federal taxpayer rights as head of the official National Taxpayer Advocate Service, has retired from that position, but can’t keep away from the game. She’s formed a non-governmental nonprofit — the Center for Taxpayer Rights — to do similar work.
• The ongoing grassroots battle against traffic-ticket-generating robots continues, with recent attacks against the machines in Australia, France, Germany, Luxembourg, England, and Washington, D.C.
