War tax resisters want a better world, opines Glen Milner in today’s Seattle Post-Intelligencer. We may not be perfect in our efforts for a better world. We must be aware, however, of what we are doing and the consequences of our allegiance to a sick and dying system.
Meanwhile… President Bush asked Congress on Monday to provide $81.9 billion more for wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and for other U.S. efforts overseas, shoving the total price tag for the conflicts and anti-terror fight past $300 billion.
