Some of you may be relieved to note that I’ve finally managed to make
The Picket Line available via
https.
This, more secure, version of the protocol by which web pages make their way from their server to your browser, gives you some protection from prying eyes, of which, these days, there are many.
You may now, if you wish, adjust any bookmarks or links you have to pages on
The Picket Line so that they point to their
https versions.
Even better, you can install the
Electric Frontier Foundation’s “HTTPS Everywhere” browser plug-in which
will automatically redirect you to the https equivalents of any
http pages you visit (when such equivalents are available).
