You ever see one of those lists of eerie coïncidences that connect the lives of Lincoln and Kennedy? You know, stuff like

  • Kennedy had a secretary named Lincoln; Lincoln had a secretary named Kennedy
  • Lincoln's assassin shot him from a theatre and fled to a warehouse; Kennedy's assassin shot him from a warehouse and fled to a theatre

There's a particular brand of eccentricity that thrives on collecting coïncidences of this sort and trying to wrap them up into a consistent story that explains them as a set. Since the coïncidences are uncanny and inexplicable by any known mechanism, the explanations are usually pretty out there. But they're usually less interesting and less creative than the did you know? lists themselves.
