Giger’s Penis Landscape
“An older person or a teenager can look at this and see the humor in it, but an eight or ten-year old isn’t anæsthetized yet.” — Tipper Gore
The artwork, by Swiss surrealist H.R. Giger, was framed by images of snakes and red-white-and-blue borders and included as a poster insert in the Dead Kennedys’ 1985 album Frankenchrist. Biafra was charged with distributing harmful matter to minors and eventually acquitted.
